005. Boyhood and Moonlight

The 'Cats tackle two of the best coming-of-age movies of the twenty-first century: Boyhood (2014) and Moonlight (2016). They manage to discuss the origins of empathy and cinema's role in reinforcing it, film as a medium for social justice, what does it mean to ethically produce and make film, and the ethical constraitns of a film industry in a capitalist system, to boot. Oh, and a lot of weird references to Transformers 4, but that's just a bonus.
